Dr. Fauci Should Testify Before Congress Immediately About COVID-19

The House Select Committee investigating the January 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol has subpoenaed former White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows to testify about his role in the events leading up to and on that day. Meadows has so far refused to cooperate with the committee, citing executive privilege. However, the committee has made it clear that it will not tolerate Meadows's obstruction and is prepared to hold him in contempt of Congress if necessary.

The committee's subpoena of Meadows is a significant development in the investigation. Meadows was one of the most senior officials in the Trump administration, and he was involved in many of the key decisions that were made in the lead-up to January 6. His testimony could shed light on the planning and coordination that went into the attack, as well as Trump's own role in the events of that day.

Meadows's refusal to cooperate with the committee is a serious matter. It is essential that the committee be able to hear from all of the witnesses who have relevant information about the January 6 attack. Meadows's obstruction is an attempt to prevent the committee from getting to the truth about what happened that day. The committee should not allow Meadows to get away with this, and it should hold him in contempt of Congress if necessary.
