VfB Stuttgart secured a comfortable 3-1 victory over Eintracht Frankfurt, solidifying their position in the top four of the Bundesliga.
Stuttgart, Germany - April 15, 2024 - VfB Stuttgart strengthened their grip on a top-four finish in the Bundesliga with a convincing 3-1 victory over Eintracht Frankfurt on Saturday.
Goals from Sehrou Guirassy and Omar Marmoush put Stuttgart in control of the match, with Guirassy scoring his second of the game in the second half to seal the victory. Frankfurt's consolation goal came from a penalty converted by Randal Kolo Muani.
The win sees Stuttgart move up to fourth place in the Bundesliga standings, just three points behind Borussia Dortmund in third. Frankfurt, meanwhile, remain in eighth place, five points adrift of the European qualification places.
Stuttgart manager Pellegrino Matarazzo was delighted with his team's performance, saying: "We played very well today. We were compact in defense and dangerous in attack. I'm very happy with the three points."
