NBA Releases Schedule for Inaugural In-Season Tournament
All Group Play Games to Impact Regular Season Standings
Mavericks to Participate in Group Play Beginning Thursday
The NBA has released the schedule for its inaugural in-season tournament, which will begin this week with Group Play games. All 30 teams will participate in the tournament, with the top eight teams advancing to a single-elimination bracket.
The Mavericks will open the tournament on Thursday, November 2, at home against the Sacramento Kings. They will then travel to face the Indiana Pacers on Saturday, November 4, before returning home to host the Phoenix Suns on Monday, November 6.
All games in the Group Play phase will count toward the regular season standings, except for the championship game. The top two teams in each of the four groups will advance to the bracket. The bracket will be seeded based on the teams' records in Group Play.
